Naspa News AUGIE/ACORD Update During the last AUGIE meeting on February 3, NASPA President Ron Binning led the discussion on how to engage more companies in the group. As a result, a Task Force was developed to encourage participation from more insurance companies, large and small, so that true compatibility and integration is within reach. This new Task Force should help increase the number of companies that use WebLink. In addition, the group introduced the Carrier-Specific Edits Task Force, which will rework ACORD forms and eliminate the supplements agents deal with during uploads. In the last issue, we announced the latest Agency Automations Survey. We thank those of you who participated and look forward to hearing the results, which will be announced at the ACORD LOMA Conference this May. In the meantime, AUGIE is performing another survey — the AUGIE Real Time Study Group. This survey will be sent to a limited number of agencies asking for feedback on the time needed for policy transactions via mail or phone compared to real-time capabilities. The goal is to demonstrate the efficiencies of real-time processing. Once the results are in later this spring, we’ll share the news! Get Involved NASPA is your ADVOCATE! Through automation initiatives and active involvement with these industry-sponsored technology groups, we are committed to enhancing and streamlining your agency operations using a collective voice to benefit us all.
