Conference Corner Fresh New Look Unveiled at the National Big I The 2006 National Big I Convention was combined with the Legislative Conference this year and held in Washington D.C. April 26-29. SIS Sales Specialists, Julie Williams and Jenny Beatty, unveiled the "fresh new look" of SIS with a brand new exhibit booth and redesigned logo and gave demos of the new Partner XE system. "Agents enjoyed the expanded networking opportunities that existed by combining these two events," commented Jenny Beatty. The conference was capped off with a CEO panel discussion and a highly entertaining and informative speech by former Secretary of State and retired General Colin Powell, which was standing room only. SIS also donated two flash drives to the InVEST Silent Auction, with proceeds supporting InVEST’s annual scholarship fund awarded to high school graduates pursuing a higher education in the insurance field. Partner User Named PIA Tennessee Agent of the Year Congratulations to Partner user and Pride Team member, Art Gernt, Jr., who won PIA Tennessee’s Agent of the Year award at the PIA TN Convention and Trade Show held in Orange Beach, Alabama, June 11-13. Art will also serve as the organization’s President-Elect in the coming year. SIS Sales Specialists, Anne Brooks and Jenny Beatty, were on hand at the show to personally congratulate Art on his success and thank him for being such a strong advocate for the Partner system in the state of Tennessee.
