Spotlight on Success Place Your Bets on SIS What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas, right? Not when the news is this good! SIS is pleased to share that once again we received numerous awards at the 14th Annual ACORD Awards ceremony! The awards program was held during the annual ACORD LOMA Insurance Forum, May 22-24, which welcomed nearly 3,000 guests to Las Vegas’ beautiful Mandalay Bay Resort. Mark Miller and Nolan Davis were there to accept the ACORD Awards, which were created to recognize achievements in ACORD data standards implementations. "The ACORD LOMA Insurance Forum is the largest insurance technology event of its kind, and we always enjoy this world-class opportunity to network with industry leaders," Miller said. "We are honored by this special recognition, which illustrates our dedication to setting and following industry standards to improve workflow for agents everywhere." Outsourcer Award For the fourth consecutive year, SIS Print Service™ received the Outsourcer Award. The SIS Print Service is a tool for rendering ACORD forms in a PDF format. It takes ACORD data and fills in either ACORD standard or custom forms whether for commercial or personal lines of business. There are more than 500 ACORD forms available. SIS further customizes extra overflow pages to accommodate company unique data and additional risk details. SIS Print Service is installed as a Web service component to provide proof positive of online submissions. AL3/XML Data Transformation Award Our AL3 ~ XML data translator, SIS Data Service™, received the 2006 ACORD AL3/XML Data Transformation Award. Implemented also as a Web service, it provides data translation between various data formats. Having the capability to use and reuse ACORD certified XML opens up more opportunities for companies to process across separate systems. Early Forms Adopter Award The ACORD Early Forms Adopter Award was also presented to the SIS Partner™ agency management system for providing up-to-date form editions. ACORD XML Certifications In addition, SIS Print Service and SIS Data Service were XML certified this year, as was a function within Partner called SIS WebLink™ – a real-time agent and company connector within the Partner™ management system. SIS WebLink combines Web services and ACORD-certified XML to enable Partner agency management system users to log-on automatically to their company Web sites. Supporting real-time inquiry, new business quote, and change quote, SIS WebLink is a cost-effective way for agencies and companies to increase efficiency in their daily activities. Continued Recognition Receiving one of the early awards in 1997, SIS has grown along with the changes in standards and continues to be recognized as a leader in the P&C industry. Since its inception, SIS has received a total of 15 ACORD awards. "We intend to continue our partnership with ACORD to standardize the insurance technology field," Miller promised.
