Product Profile Get Ready for XE Conversion! Many of you are anxiously awaiting the release of Partner XE. Below is a quick reference of items you’ll want to know about the conversion process. It’s important to understand that switching to XE is a conversion and not an upgrade from Partner 6.2. SIS will do everything we can to assure that this step will go as smoothly as possible. "Agencies will be amazed at the level of data that will seamlessly transfer from Partner 6.2 into Partner XE," SIS Systems Supervisor Nolan Davis said. To make the process easier, SIS offers the following advice for all Partner 6.2 agencies interested in converting:
Run through the Common Names
Database Maintenance program (Start, Programs, SIS, Components) to
delete duplicate and additional interests.
Make sure all of your policies have
valid dates for Policy Effective and Expiration Dates (run Policy
Marketing to get a list and sort).
Verify your NAIC writing company
codes are entered in Company Administrator and are being used when
entering new policies. Also, make sure all of your existing policies have these same corresponding NAIC writing company codes (run Policy Marketing to get a list and sort). "The more cleaning done in Partner 6.2 upfront will result in less confusion and clean-up post conversion," explained Davis. SIS will guide you through the complete conversion process, but if you have any questions, please contact askSIS@sisware.com .Agency Feedback Many of the agencies involved with Alpha and Beta testing have reported excellent feedback. For example, Roger Evans at Atlantic Insurance Inc. in Waterford, Connecticut, said, "Partner XE appears to be a much richer program. From what I’ve seen, I can tell SIS has put a lot of hard work into it." Evans explained that he wanted to be an Alpha agency because he knows providing SIS with honest user feedback will help improve system functionality for future users. "Hopefully, Partner XE will fulfill a need in the insurance technology arena and improve the level of agent communication with clients and carriers," Evans added.
