SIS receives awards for ACORD XML    

Gahanna, OH/Orlando, FL – May 19, 2003 – Strategic Insurance Software, Inc. (SIS) was honored by ACORD for the recently certified SIS ACORD XML Print Service during the 2003 ACORD Conference, Pathways to Business Success, May 18–20.

SIS was awarded the Outsourcer Award for the work that was completed on the ACORD XML Print Service. This component consumes ACORD XML policy data and renders an up to date ACORD application in PDF format. While this component will be an integral part of the next generation of SEMCI PARTNER® for ACORD applications, it is also being deployed by carriers as a business solution for their agent based Web sites, which need to produce applications and insurance ID cards as well.

“We were thrilled to be recognized with this award,” said Doug Allen, C.O.O. of SIS “Our entire development team worked extremely hard to earn this award.”

It is the first product SIS has launched that is based on the Microsoft .NET platform and is capable of being deployed as a Web Service.

SIS was also awarded the P&C XML Standard 1.1.0 or greater Certification Award for developing new products that ACORD has formally certified the use of the XML standards. 

“Obtaining the certification adds a lot of credibility to the SIS insurance technology achievements,” added Nolan Davis. “Agents and companies will benefit from products that have gone through this formal ACORD certification process,” he added.
