Mark Miller, Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Insurance Software

With more than 16 years experience in insurance technology, Mark Miller has held a variety of leadership roles with insurance carriers, brokerage and agency vendors. Before joining SIS, Mark was a founding member of Pivot, a subsidiary of Wachovia Corporation, where he served in several positions including Vice President of Application Development.  In that role, Miller was responsible for the planning and direction of the strategic business unit, developing insurance automation services as well as point of sales systems for the brokerage market. A graduate of Ohio University, Miller earned degrees in Management Information Systems and Human Resource Management.

Paul Fuller, Vice President of Sales, Strategic Insurance Software

Paul Fuller is responsible for developing and running a world-class sales organization for SIS that serves our clients and ensures the growth of SIS. As a founding member of NuGrowth Solutions (the parent company of SIS), Fuller successfully led sales and operations for more than ten firms, leading to millions of dollars in pipeline growth and revenue across multiple industries. Prior to NuGrowth Solutions, Fuller was Director of Sales Operations and Regional Sales with Endforce, a security software firm serving the enterprise network admission control (NAC) marketplace. Fuller’s efforts helped ENDFORCE increase its pipeline by over 120% annually, effectively positioning the company for acquisition (by Sophos) in 2007. Prior to ENDFORCE, he served as an account manager for Aelita Software (acquired by Quest Software), consistently surpassing all performance benchmarks as a sales professional. Fuller earned his M.A. in Communication from the University of Arizona, where he was a Fellowship scholar and served as an instructor in business and political communication practice and theory.

Alex Deak, President & CEO, Strategic Insurance Software

Throughout his career, Alex Deak has held a variety of leadership roles in sales, large account management, business development, product management, ISO 9000 quality management, professional services, client services, and information technology. Deak also serves as on the board of Groundwork Group, which provides services to nonprofits to enhance their capacity to achieve their missions through information management and technology.  He served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Metatec International, where he was a member of Metatec’s Executive Operations Team. Other recent executive responsibilities include Professional Services at Aelita Software where he established and grew a profitable services organization. Deak’s leadership roles in technology-oriented software and services businesses have earned him recognition from a variety of sources over his 25 year career, including a PCWeek cover article where he was recognized as one of the “New Breed” innovative, creative CIO’s, and a “Forty Under 40” award by Business First Magazine of Columbus, Ohio, honoring leading business people who are active both professionally and in the community.

Greg Tillar, Chairman of the Board, Strategic Insurance Software

Greg Tillar is Chairman of Strategic Insurance Software, LLC he also serves as CEO of NuGrowth Partners and NuGrowth Solutions.

Tillar has successfully launched multiple businesses over his 25 years of providing executive management and leadership to emerging domestic and international businesses. While his expertise is in building and developing technology-based companies, he has also successfully led organizations in the advertising, non-profit, Internet, manufacturing and recreation sectors. Tillar served as an equity participant and management executive in the formation and launch of a publishing and advertising company, OneSource, which resulted in a cash acquisition by a larger NASDAQ-100 company in only 24 months.

For nearly ten years, he served as President and COO of the publicly traded optical media manufacturer, Metatec Corporation, where he participated in two rounds of public equity offerings raising more than $25 million. During his tenure on the Board of Directors for this high tech manufacturer, Tillar led the company’s sales, manufacturing, information technology, marketing and organizational development, while the company regularly posted 30% compounded annual revenue gains. Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales for CompuServe, an international provider of business-to-business networking products and services during the online industry’s infancy, providing strategic direction and leadership for the sales function of nearly 30 worldwide offices. A pioneer in the sales of corporate network systems, revenue for this company grew from $8 million to more than $75 million annually under his direction.
