technical standards

SEMCI PARTNERŪ is based on a variety of national insurance industry standards including ACORD, IVANS, APT and more.

ACORD STANDARDS:
  • AL3 Import/Export for third party software integration

SEMCI PARTNERŪ provides full AL3 import and export functionality. This allows exchange of data from the SEMCI PARTNERŪ database with any third party software provider using the AL3 format. Use of this function is controlled by the agency, and allows the company to integrate proprietary rating software or other products with their agencies. The AL3 Import/Export function also allows companies to use any communications facility of their choice for upload and download.
  • ACORD 932 Policy Change

SEMCI PARTNERŪ fully supports ACORD Standard 932 Policy Change Format. This requires that SEMCI PARTNERŪ software accurately compares the "old" policy data with the changed policy data and identify the differences. This is done with group level action flags (add, change, delete) and use of the selective change character when individual fields within a group have been changed. This capability allows companies to implement truly automated policy change transaction processing and address the bulk of their transactions.

WebLINK

WebLink allows the users of SEMCI PARTNERŪ to link into their company sites. Following the IIABA subcommittee ACT guidelines, S.I.S. has joined in the effort to develop and deploy the standards in SEMCI PARTNERŪ, but also by participating in the standards committee with ACORD.

IVANS

The latest version of Expedite (IVANS network software) is included with SEMCI PARTNERŪ. The required settings are managed through the communications modules and the agency setup function. All necessary information from Expedite required for problem resolution is available through the SEMCI PARTNERŪ communications history feature.

APT (now part of IVANS)

APT further defines the ACORD policy transaction hierarchy to give a greater level of consistency to companies receiving upload. SEMCI PARTNERŪ has fully implemented the APT Standards for use of the ACORD hierarchy, through integration of the APT Agency Module.
